Criminal lawyer Neil Wiberg, KC advises and defends people who under investigation by the police, charged with a criminal offence or otherwise in trouble with the law.

Neil has practised criminal law for close to 40 years and is well respected among lawyers and judges. A former prosecutor in Alberta and BC, he has been involved in the highest-level criminal cases for decades. He knows how the Crown and police operate—a huge advantage when defending against criminal charges.

He has worked on more than 80 murder cases so far, in addition to cases dealing with sexual assault, drugs, impaired driving causing death, and dangerous driving causing death. From his time working with police, he knows the ins and outs of undercover investigations and can advise clients on how to best protect their rights.
When it comes to trial, Neil is at home in the courtroom and is a forceful advocate.

In 2006, Neil was appointed Queen’s Counsel in Alberta. In 2022, after the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen’s Counsel lawyers became King’s Counsel or KC.
Outside of the office, Neil has been a guest speaker at Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law.
